Did some additional testing as this bug is preventing me from playing my main save.
Existing photos become blurry as soon as you load a lot, and new photos taken are also blurry immediately. It seems like there is something going on that compress any currently loaded "Save Game Custom Texture" (as they are called when opening a save with the Sims4Studio) to a maximum height or width of 256px, no matter the size of the photo, the painting of anything else. Even if photos are kept in the inventory.
I've tried to investigate the cause in the game script files, in config files, with no results.
It's out of my current knowledge.
The only thing we can do now is share this bug to any people we know, in order to raise awareness on that issue, I suspect some players have't noticed yet.
