Since the new patch/update whenever I send my family to Batuu, they appear but you can’t play with them. They’re grayed out on the screen and they don’t appear with their Batuu attire. We still can’t board the millennium falcon and missions don’t work!

Community ManagerOne thing that helped me is to send one sim home. There should be option to on the select sim in lower left. Once they go home, there should now be an option there to "switch control to" them, which should bring you to them at the home lot. Then switch control back to sim that is still in Batuu. Once there go to that same button again and choose to have the sim that is at home to "join vacation". And voila!.. there they are.. both on vacation in Batuu! I don't know how this works with more than 2 sims on the vacation. Probably have to send all home except one. But maybe another option is to just send one to start and then have all you want to attend "join vacation".
Another problem that happens is if at any time you go to "plan Batuu outfit" in the dwelling, when you come out, usually both sims are grayed out. To fix this, have another sim stay home so that whenever a gray-out happens, you can switch control to them and then right back to one of your sims in Batuu and the gray-outs should be gone. Or you could probably do the sending sim home, switch, switch, join thing again.
Well this is just completely nuts that this is how to get the game to work correctly, but that's what it is.
Same thing happened to me. Both the uncontrollable family members on Batuu vacation and the Heist mission not working due to only one heist recruit being able to board Millennium Falcon. I can’t believe they marked the previous bug report on both the X-Wing and Millennium Falcon bugs being fixed when they only fixed half of the reported issues….

It also has happened to me. No Batuu clothes for my selected sim. No way to select the other household sim.

If the travel group consists of more than one member, at least one member is grayed out. However, all members are assigned to the group. At most one group member is wearing a Batuu outfit upon arrival. A combination with this bug report may be suspected. For one traveler, the pie menu for the first task at the Black Spire Outpost hideout is still intact, and the transition into CAS is taking place. For multiple travelers, this pie menu item is simply missing.

My sim had an Alien baby, so I decided it would be a fun detour to go to Battu since it had been about a year or so since I last played there.
However, upon it loading all but one of my Sims had on their regular clothes, and that one sim was grayed out and I couldn’t click on him (like he didn’t come on the vacation but he was on the lot and in Battu clothing). However they all had the task you get when you first come to Battu. It turned out none of the sims I brought were apart of the vacation. I had to have all 7 of them join it.
I just had all of the sims use the “travel” app on the phone and clicked the “join vacation button”. This doesn’t work for children though so I clicked on them in the relationship panel and had them join the vacation that way.
