Same on my PC. When I click on the refrigerator there is a noticeable lag for the menu showing up.

This is still an ongoing issue for me, has been an issue for about a year.
I removed all expansions, packs and kits and mods and the issue still occurs.

I am a PC player so I do not think this is limited to MAC or console but I digress. It used to be that my game only lagged when I clicked on the fridge. After the update where they added the pack deselection option now EVERY single item and sim including the ground in my game lags for upwards of 5 seconds when I click on it. It is not my operating system as when I bought enchanted by nature everything was working as normal until the update where they added the pack deselector.

I've been having this issue for a while. I play on PS4 so no mods or cc. I've noticed it's worsethe longer I play and possibly related to the lagging issue mentioned in other reports where severe lag happens after 30 minutes to an hour of real time. One thing that will occasionally work when my Sim is idle, despite having interactions queued, is to open the options menu and in the background the current Sim interaction that is stuck will clear or move to the active interactions. Then when I close the menu without doing anything else, my Sim resumes what they were doing. There's also a huge delay after switching from build/buy to live mode where the clock will run but my Sim remains idle and I can't click on anything. The pie menu doesn't appear for up to 30 seconds despite numerous clicks and then suddenly they will open and disappear in quick succession until the last object or Sim I clicked on will remain and I can select an option. During this freeze, the cursor stays as the standard arrow but still moves normally. When pointing at something that is clickable the cursor doesn't change and objects don't highlight as usual to indicate there's an interaction available.

Yeah, I've noticed that it's gotten worse over time as they add more and more recipes to the base game. I do love that we have so much variety now, but they really need a better way of organizing things (the existing filters of vegetarian, lactose-free, etc, are good, but we need more than that) and to investigate whatever it is that's producing such horrible lag when trying to select an item to cook. I get worried pretty much every time I open the menu now, since I never know when or if it will crash my game.

In last week or so, I have found that the PS5 controls are lagging/not responding with the sim interaction menu (either with another sim or item).
I have to restart the game multiple times and ensured the controller is fully charged but still encounter same issues.
I currently have installed 6 EPs, 3 GPs, 4 SPs and 10 kits. I have deleted older save files and my current sim count is 7/80.
This is starting to become really frustrating to play as I'm having to directly go to PS home menu to restart the game multiple times (even with first 10mins of loading into the save file).
