All of my Family Trees are still Royally messed up. Especially those that involved Alien abductions, NPC's or premade Sims. That is - in my case - most of my Sim families.
Townie families that I adopted as my own, who now have descendants, have become the unknown parents of their children.
Children have the wrong parents. Couples have switched parents. Grandparents, Siblings, Aunts and Uncles are lost.
Still living Sims seem to have mostly retained their relationships with each other. Except Sims whose parents had half-siblings based on abductions. Alien abduction half-sibling relationships are no longer recognized.
Now that I've seen the Family Trees that came with R&L, I wish that the devs had made them a separate option - like the notebook. As mucked up as the original Family Trees were, they were better than this.
I'm pretty sure that it's not possible to fix all that has been lost or broken.
