I’m having the exact same issue. Playing on ps5 so I can’t use mc command center to fix it. I might just have to kill my sims bf seeing as no one has figured out a solution. Sorry Alexander goth :(
Before you execute your Sims, you might try this. Take them both, separately, into your Gallery. That will break them up. As in they won't have a relationship anymore. Then return them to the game and see if you can't get them romantically involved. Let me know if this works. It's just a thought that occurred to me just now. Best of luck.
