I just discovered this bug today. My sims who dated in high school, one had a crush on the other as well, now are unable to woohoo as adults. The social interaction part is successful but then they reset and don’t go to actually do it. I have high school years and lovestruck among other packs and play on a mac. I am sad because I will need to pause this save! I’m trying to start the next era of this legacy.
Do you or can you use mods? There is a workaround that has resolved this issue with my main couple. They fell in love as teens, went to Uni together, finally got married (her father was very against the match) and their honeymoon was all but destroyed by this bug. I thought it had everything to do with where they went, but no, the problem was right there, again once they were home.
Basically, you have to remove their relationship entirely. (I used MCCC because this can be done and restored very quickly with it). Wipe out their relationship. And clear their marriage, too. Then if you know the relationship cheat (sorry I use the mod, cheat codes aren't in my head) you can build their relationship back to where it was, if you don't use the mod. Take them into cas.fulleditmode and make them spouses. (This is why you have to clear their marriages; I ran into a snag before it occurred to me.) So far, so good in my household. Hope it does the trick for you. It does seem to stem from their young love. Pity.
