My sim met a townie, proposed, got married and they moved in together. The family tree was showing them as married. Later, I went to Manage Worlds and when I returned to the family, the sims are no longer married. I did not play any households in between so time did not pass. They are not divorced either, just back to being romantic partners and the possibility to propose is back. In the family tree, they are not connected at all.
