All of my expansion packs and add ons are missing. They are showing in my library and are downloaded but when the game is launched it is just showing base game and saying I don't have the packs. I've tried repairing the game and event uninstalling and reinstalling the game but still nothing is working. No mods.

Same. I have cleared the game cache, repaired the game, restarted the ea app, restarted my pc. When the update first went through I removed all CC before the update. I was able to play after the 3/18 update WITH my mods. Went to play tonight and all add-on content shows as purchased and installed on the ea app but does not show installed in The Sims 4.

I've had the same problem! I also do not have any mods or cc. I'm going to keep playing around trying to find a fix, and I'll let you know if anything works. Personally, my issues started after I tried to sync the Sims with Steam.

HI dancinghorse_14 ClaireTheMusical Mikyla0499
Are you all on Steam ?
Are they enabled when you check the pack selection ?

I have never synced mine with steam strictly origin originally and then the EA app now. I tried all of the repairs and things I think my next step is going to be fully uninstalling and reinstalling. So frustrating.

I found that if I load into the Sims 4, go to my saved games, and then clicked on the "Not Installed" kits, I was able to download them. I downloaded them through the new marketplace, and I did not need to rebuy any of the kits. However, this doesn't work for game packs or expansion packs, and I think this may simply be because they are not downloadable through the marketplace, but I'm not sure if that is the case.

crinrict Currently, my game is connected with Steam. I've been going back and forth trying to find something that works, so I may disconnect it again, but as it stands Steam and EA are synced. In the EA app in my library, it says "12 add-ons" under the Sims 4 (and if I go to "manage add-ons" I can see all of my DLC and it says they are installed), but on Steam it says I do not own any DLC.
I have never used pack selection before, so its possible that is the issue. However, where the pack selection button should be (I think), I instead have a button that reads "download manager." Does this mean that my game is not updated?
EDIT: Hi again! So I found how to select which packs to play with in the Marketplace. I have downloaded my kits and they should be working. However, my stuff packs and expansion packs simply say "not installed" so I can not activate them to play with them.

Did you buy those on ea app or steam ? Do you have any packs missing on Steam or did you not buy any there ?
If you own packs on steam, they are only recognized by playing through Steam. Ea app does not recognize those. Steam should recognize the EA app bought ones

crinrict Oh, I have bought all of my DLC through the EA app. On Steam though, it asks me to buy them when I go to the DLC page (including ones that I own).
I think this is something I definitely messed up myself, but I'm unsure how to fix it. I had played the sims a lot through the EA app, but yesterday I decided I would sync it with Steam. So I downloaded the Sims 4 through Steam and signed into my accounts once I opened the game. A short time after they synced, I deleted the Sims 4 I downloaded through Steam, since I had two copies on my desktop at this point. I probably should have deleted the one from the EA app or have left them both alone.
But if I uninstall the Sims 4 completely and reinstall it through Steam, when I open it I am not asked to sign in or sync or give it time to download my packs. At this point, the game has the same identical problem whether I download it through the EA app or through Steam.
Thank you so much for your help thus far!

ClaireTheMusical Your saves shouldn't have been deleted when you uninstalled the game, at least not unless they were tangled up with the game's program files. You can still search for them on your computer if you want; please see the section of this guide that covers searching for your missing files (it should jump right to that section):

If you are using OneDrive see my post on how to fix, there is a path confusion from cloud to your hard drive.

Mikyla0499 If you haven't uninstalled yet, try deleting UserSetting.ini, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. This holds data for what packs have been deactivated and can get corrupted.
