Packs/Worlds showing as deactivated in-game/Not active after purchase

figured it out.  go into the marketplace in game and check if the royalty and legacies expansion is disabled.  if it is, then click pack selection and choose the expansion.  click the big checkmark and it will ask if you want to restart the game.  It should be good to go after the restart

This needs to be upvoted b/c it is the fix for the "world's not owned" issue that is plaguing everyone after this latest March 2026 patch!

I purchased the rent and wedding expansion packs last week and it is still saying that the worlds are not ready and are installing. I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled twice in an attempt to get it to work. 

I bought 2 new packs 3 days ago, EA app says they are downloaded but none of the content shows in-game. The work that comes with the pack says the world is”not installed” when checking add-ons and library they are installed, when checking payment history the payment has cleared both through my bank and with EA. I have tried deleting cache files, removing all mods and cc, repairing the game, deleting the sims and the EA app and the packs still do not show up!

I learned that you have to open the game and look into collections and pack selection and make sure it’s checked as well and then restart your game should show mines did the same earlier 

Dealing with the same issue and no help it’s crazy ridiculous 

no matter what i do, my get to work won't work ever since i got my horse ranch expansion pack from steam, my get to work expansion pack that i got from ea years before won't work anymore. ive tried repairing the game, uninstalling and reinstalling, it won't work.
