Hi all,
seems the stuff I just wrote wasn't saved by the forum (thanks for that), trying to answer Individual folks so I'm just making this more general.
I've tested one save so far and could dupe photos going black on electronic frames.
EA hasn't asked for saves yet so this is purely me testing atm. For me, already broken saves aren't useful. I need to be able to compare before and after for the test I'm trying to do. If you have any that aren't broken but others broke for you, those are also useful.
Also one thing I want to say about the title. I've initially changed it to be the same as it was before with the new patch number but seems it got changed further. Currently it seems to me that there's still multiple scenarios going on but multiple threads will just confuse folks so I changed it back to what it was when I first changed it now.
So if you can provide the following info if posting it would be very helpful to narrow down more scenarios. Also, please keep backups. It's always a good idea even if something is supposed to be fixed.
- What platform are you playing on (Please state exactly which OS and where you downloaded from, eg: Win 11 Steam)
- If you are on PC: Are you using DX9 or DX11
- If you are on PC: Are you using Memory boost (automatic currently means disabled, you would need to set it on enabled for it to be on)
- If you are on PC/Mac: Are you a mod user usually ?
- Does it happen on new saves too ?
- Does it happen on existing saves for new photos ?
- How did you take the photos (Camera, Phone, Photo Booth, ...)
- What quality are your photos ? Does this matter ?
- Where do you display your photos ? Electronic Frames ? Wall ? Inventory ?
- If not all photos turn black, do you see any pattern ?
