PC, January 13, 2026 update
- What platform are you playing on (Please state exactly which OS and where you downloaded from, eg: Win 11 Steam)
- PC, EA app, windows 11
- If you are on PC: Are you using DX9 or DX11
- whichever the newer one is? so 11?
- If you are on PC: Are you using Memory boost (automatic currently means disabled, you would need to set it on enabled for it to be on)
- whatever the default setting is, so I believe automatic
- If you are on PC/Mac: Are you a mod user usually ?
- yes, but it happened in my mod-free save too --- I checked that first
- Does it happen on new saves too ?
- haven't verified since I am most concerned that it took out 6.5 gens worth of images
- Does it happen on existing saves for new photos ?

- How did you take the photos (Camera, Phone, Photo Booth, ...)
- camera, photo booth, paint from references, graduation photo, memorial portrait
- What quality are your photos ? Does this matter ?
- Doesn't matter. ALL photos went blank - including the graduation and memorial portraits which, as far as I know, don't have a quality tag.
- Where do you display your photos ? Electronic Frames ? Wall ? Inventory ?
- Wall, shelf, electronic frame, family frames from Growing Together, inventory
- If not all photos turn black, do you see any pattern ?
- every single one except some photos that were in my sims' inventories (not household inventory - their personal inventory); also, in one of my saves I had waved an inventory photo through the memorial portrait at some point when the memorial portrait wasn't working but was for some reason allowing those photos, and some of those are still there as well - there doesn't appear to be a pattern as to which of these stayed.
