Ideas
The photos in my save were fine until the latest update. I just went in to play and loaded a household and noticed the framed photo sitting on the dresser is now black. :-(
I play on PC - Win 11 through the EA App
DX11
Memory Boost - I don't think so
I use Mods
Not sure about new saves - I haven't had time to try
Not sure about new photos yet - but a previously taken photo is now black
Photo taken through "crystal clear" camera
The photo's quality is "normal"
The black photo is in an EA wooden frame sitting on a dresser
I'll have to check out photos in other households as I continue to play to see if there appears to be a pattern
So I just loaded into a different household in the same save file (where I knew there were other photos on display) and those 3 photos are NOT black. They are displaying correctly. They were also taken with the "Crystal Clear" camera, and are also in wooden EA frames sitting on surfaces - but the quality of those 3 is "Outstanding". The quality of the photo in the other household that is now black is "Normal".
Possible pattern?

I have to go to work now, but I'll poke around in other households the next time I play.

Before I heard of the photo problem I returned to a save with a new family and played and saved a few times. Didn't take photos. Then I went to my regular family in the save. Their photos were intact and I copied them to their inventories. I was able to play and save without any changes to them. I do have another family that I play occasionally in this save and they have many photos but I'm afraid to see if they are black or not in which case I can save them. I usually only put up Outstanding quality photos and use the basic wooden frames and am curious to know if the frame type is a factor. I did occasionally get black photos from smaller desk framed pictures but it didn't happen often. I may wait until February.

Alas, I loaded the secondary family and all their photos are black. They were 3 generations now gone.
