I had all my photos turn black after the patch. My sims save is only a few weeks old and my photos are just portraits so they can be recreated. It is just time consuming and annoying.
I store photos of my sim families at home on their walls and also in a modified museum/gallery in Willow Creek. I have a wall at the museum just dedicated to my families. After the patch, all the photos at the museum and homes were black. These photos were all taken by different sims over a number of sim weeks. They were all taken by the same camera which I keep at the museum.
Since then, new photos I added at the museum have turned black though puzzlingly, photos from the same batch are fine if kept at home - so far anyway. I didn't delete the old black photos at the museum though so maybe that infected them. I have no idea how these things work and will believe anything at this stage.
I play on a mid range Win laptop which is exclusively used for Sims 4 so no issues with disk space or conflicting programs. I do use mods but nothing outrageous and all are kept up to date.
