Yes. Massive disaster for my 4yo save.
I'm glad that i'm big on backup saves, but ...
I noticed it very late (1/19). On my current lot where i play with my current fam, all photos were good for days. Didn't notice anything.
While making a backup i was very surprised to see that the file size was only around 50.000 kB small. The backup before that was 110.000kB (In the past, my saves were even above 200.000 kB. With my hefty PC no problem).
I instantly had a gut feeling that it had to do with pics. Pics and familytrees make savefiles ''heavy''. I went to my mausoleum lot with 32 generations of pictures and all were black.
Tried transferring lots with pics to my latest file. But as soon as i even move to another household, all pics are black again as soon as i check. So starting a new savefile for this fam with their beautiful long history seems futile to me.
I hope my TLDR story makes sense. I just want to share my sadness. I'll freeze this beloved family for now.
Ohboy ! There's a massive challenge for the Sims mechanics. You can do it !
Extra: The last couple of days i played mainly my ''side save''. Just a small fam, 1st gen.
All their pictures have also kept up. Noticed nothing shocking.
I was even happy to see that the paintings by reference held up.
So, for me, as long as you stick to one lot, one fam all seems normal. Seems.
