Just adding another report of the black photo bug after the patch that was in fact meant to fix that bug. The photos were not black upon entering the game, but after I took a household on a vacation, they came back and all their photos were black. I recovered an older copy of the save file from the irl day before and the photos were all present. I continued playing in that save but did not go on vacation. Then I switched to a different household and all of their photos were black. I loaded some other households to investigate and their photos were all black but the original household that I had switched out of still had their photos. I recovered a copy of this save from even further back just to be able to download these houses to my library with their photos intact so I could at least replace the lots and get them back without losing my game progress. Yes, I do play with mods. However it appears that this is affecting everyone regardless of mod usage. This save file isn't even that old or large because of issues with this game, I have to keep making fresh save files and moving my sims over via my library.
Suffice it to say - very, very frustrating.
Just to add another detail, the photos that were in sims inventories and household inventories were unaffected this time.
