Has definitely happened to me before but usually I can just put them in the inventory and put them back and it works but since the 9/18/25 update it will not work at all and even says they are water damaged? (Also having the issue with sim inventory deleted post update + deleting whenever I travel including the fridge)
Should I just keep an unopened backup save from right before the update, not play the save for a while, and hope the pictures / photos (and inventory) load back in if fixed in a few days?
I have a very treasured legacy save that this has been happening to, it completely wiped all of my keepsake box, inventory, and wall photos, several paintings, and Life and Death family portrait. I'm legitimately scared to open any saves with photos because they wipe. So I will NOT be playing my legacy saves until it's fixed.
I'm with you! This happened on my most treasured save file! How do I check if things are fixed without messing anything up? Maybe just make a burner save file to test things whenever updates come out?
