Someone in this thread mentioned switching from DX11 back to DX9, and that worked. I hope that it gets fixed if folks want to start on the DX11 version, cause that's a temporary fix. leaving the rest of my notes in here so that it's helpful for feedback.
Me too, after this latest update, all of them are black - whereas it was just a weird thing with event award photos (graduations, forever portrait from LD). all my mods are updated, and i'm ten generations in. happy to share my save file with a dev. also anything that can be stored in an inventory doesn't exist anymore (plants, homework, food, etc).
unfortunately, that didn't fix it for me. Just saying so others are aware it may or may not work for them.
