Photos/Paintings turning black/blank (after 1.102.190/1.82)

I hadn't had a problem with this until the August 19th patch.  Since then the following is happening:

- Paint from reference:  The image appears fine while painting, appears fine when moved into the inventory.  However when pulled from the inventory and put on the wall it appears plain white.  Moving it on the wall will make the image pop up again, but it is temporary and will return to white when I load the lot.

This is happening to 100% of paint by reference images - both those created by myself in game, as well as anything pulled from the gallery. 

Digital Photo Frame Pictures:  All photos stored in the digital photo frame turn black by the next time I log in to the game.  They don't do it initially, appear to save fine, but will be black when I log in again.

I do always save (usually many times) both in build mode and live.  I never just save and exit.  I do mod but tested with an unmodded save and the same things happen.  I have all the packs/kits.
