Photos/Paintings turning black/blank (after 1.102.190/1.82)

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this as I haven't done this before so please let me know where I should comment if not. Occasionally I would have a painting turn white/blank after relaunching. After the latest update every single painting by reference turns white the second time it is placed on a wall (without relaunching) and now every single time I launch my game they are blank. I removed all of my mods, created a new sims 4 folder and repaired my game. I launched a brand new game with 0 mods and a completely new folder and yet I still have the same issues. This is exactly what I did - launch game, start new save, used first randomized sim, picked a house, placed the cheapest easel, did multiple large classic paintings to raise the painting skill and sold them, created a painting by reference (sidenote - when you do a painting by reference and go to choose what you want to paint with the camera mode at the start there's like 5 seconds of seeing inside a sims head gums, teeth and I think eyes it's a bit of a jump scare lol), put the painting in my inventory, placed the painting on the wall, put the painting in my inventory, placed the painting on the wall (it goes blank), put painting in my inventory (looks normal can see the painting now), hold painting to the wall without placing (can see it), placed it (went blank). Also to add every time I placed it in my inventory the value of the painting changed and it changed again when I placed it on the wall. I also tried to leave the game paused and unpaused when placing it made no difference. I created a new painting by reference and dragged it to the wall without putting it in my inventory, move it at least 4 times to different walls and it was fine, moved it to my inventory, moved it back to the wall (went blank). In my previous folder and saves when I tried dragging it straight to the wall without using the inventory at all it was fine but when I relaunched the game they were always blank. I really hope this issue is fixed soon because for me the game is somewhat unplayable since I can't paint my sims and be able to keep the painting (currently doing generations). This may seem like a small issue but I have had so many issues and bugs in the past that I was only able to fix with the help of other players, volunteers and modders without them I don't think I would still be playing. I love the sims 4 but some serious change needs to happen for me to continue spending my money on a broken game.
