Pictures going completely black has been an issue for me for months to the point I had been using the tip of saving my game once before saving and closing. This seemed to solve the issue for a while, but after the 9/18/2025 update, this work around no longer works either. I am using a Mac. My game has been updated to the newest version, repaired and I have all my mods updated. Even when I take my mods out of my game, the issue persists.
This is one of the worst bugs I've had myself. I cannot bear opening my legacy saves in fear to lose all of the pictures and portraits I have saved for years. Please fix this!
Update! Upon further testing with my game I noticed that if I took pictures on my sims' phones, they did save properly. The issue appears to be with any picture taken with the cameras. This bug still needs to be fixed, but for all of you looking for a temporary work around, I wanted to share.
