Bug Report: All Player-Painted Pictures Turn Blank After Exiting Game (Post-August Update)
Hi, I’d like to report a bug related to the painting system in The Sims 4.
Since the August 2025 update, I’ve been experiencing a consistent issue: whenever my Sim paints a picture and it’s either displayed or stored, everything looks normal during the play session. But after saving and exiting the game, then reloading the save file, all the paintings my Sim created turn completely blank — like empty canvases.
When I draw a picture using the drawing tool as reference, all the pictures are not saved and turn white.
Also, I’ve tested this without any mods or CC installed, and the problem still occurs — so I believe this is a base game issue, not related to mods.
Please look into this bug. It’s especially frustrating for players who enjoy the painting and art features in gameplay.

I am also having this issue since the August update and I've tried all the previous advice I found online. Short of starting a new game, I cannot get the issue to fix. No mods installed. Windowed, Fullscreen. In inventory, in house inventory, on the wall, on the painting stand, framed, not framed, save in world, save in game, save and exit to main, save and exit directly, reloaded old saves from months ago - multiple times, resaved as new game, saved as current save file, I can go on...
I am in the middle of a ten generation playthrough where every family member and family portrait is painted from reference. The old paintings are still there and working. It's just anything NEW painted. I can't age up the family until this gets fixed so I can't play.
