Personal opinion from how this issue was fixed in the past: I don't think it's a save problem. It's a problem with textures lost, just like the black Sims/Werewolves/whatever
As rostsit said they can't restore the texture of already black photos as they are simply not there anymore (you can use the method in the link in the first post but I would wait till after the patch). IMHO this should not affect new photos .
The black photo is also a symptom though so it's possible that they didn't catch all the cases causing the issue and I'll be the devils advocate, I'm sure it will come back again later on. Keep your photos save in the gallery/library and/or keep backups of your saves
I do hope this can be clarified by EA but in the past, it wasn't about saves, it was about already blacked out photos.
I would def give it a try with keeping lots of backups with trying on an existing save with new photos.
