Can’t save my game. When I switch to needs etc game sends me to load screen. Cursor disappears so I can’t even scroll or play when the save option works which is like 10% of the time. Spent sooo much...

xAutumnAngelx is this by any chance since the Deck the Palms Event started this week? Because my cursor is going off after claiming rewards, then again once I'm in the game. It stops doing it once I've powercycled the console and restarted my game. Toggling the cursor back on (with the button with 2 squares on the left hand side) works from the Sims homepage but not when it disappears in the game.
So if it is after claiming event rewards I'd suggest restarting the console after claiming instead of going straight into your game.
If not I'd check that your console and controller are both up to date. The console doesn't always update the controller automatically. Go to Profile & system >Settings >Devices & connections to update the controller. You could also try reinstalling your game if you didn't do that after your last issue and clear your locally saved data by selecting Sims 4 on your console home screen using the menu button (3 lines) go to Manage Game and Add-ons>Saved Data. You'll see 2 sets of data, pick the set next to your gamertag/username and select delete from console only (this step should be carried out while the game is not running). Then immediately load up your game and it will sync up with the cloud and retrieve your data.

simsplayer818 Hey there thank you for your help, I did update the controller like you suggested, it helped for a little while but then it started to do it again sadly. Its only started happening since the event but to be honest I'm not totally sure that is the reason for it, I have just had to move all my sim family's over to a new game as my city totally disappeared when I click into the city on the residential worlds map its just not there its all white and I can no longer do anything, But that was reported on another thread which I ended up with me moving to a new game! I lost all my family connections which hurt a lot but at least I still have my sims and call me crazy but the sims that had family connections are now drawn to each other and after a quick intro there bars are 100% so that's a nice thing. Going back to the issue tho! I have to keep going back to manage worlds and back in for it come back, I was un ware of the 2 squares on the left hand side that takes the cursor off and on, but sadly that does not help 😔 I have thought about the manage game saved data thing but I am scared to do this with all the issues I have had I would be beyond devastated if I lost the lot and would have rather just had to keep going back to manage worlds and back in, than lose the lot!

xAutumnAngelx I've probably cleared my locally saved data 100s of times and never lost my game so don't worry about that, as long as you have your WiFi connected and don't have the game running and be sure to only pick the smallest set of data next to your gamertag/username and select delete from console only. It then retrieves your data from the cloud as it loads the game. It can fix a lot of performance issues I've found.
You could get a second opinion from Xbox Support though, via their live chat on the website or Xbox Support app. Have your console on and they can talk you through some options. They might even suggest a console reset while keeping your apps and games since you've had what sounds like a corruption issue. They'll stay on the chat with you and tell you exactly what to do, it can be reassuring just to be talked through it.

simsplayer818 I can only see 1 with me name next to the save data and that is at 636.2MB then 1 that says reserved space that is 1.0 GB and then one with my husband profile name that is at 6.4MB he does not play but has made a few sims for me once or twice. He does have his own xbox I just have his profile on mine as he does mine on his. I will look into the webpage support if I can find that would be helpful.
