Can confirm that this is also happening to me. The control legend overlay continues to be displayed each time I log on even after unchecking this option in the game settings. The other setting that keeps changing each time I log in is the "invert horizontal camera rotation" setting that I now have to add a checkmark to each time I log in. This is driving me bonkers. Not going to play again until this gets fixed.
Just to clarify. I am able to change the settings to play the game the way I like it once I log in. But after saving and quitting and then coming back to the game, the settings are back to default and I need to make the adjustments to my game settings each time. It's really annoying. Not sure if this is a really bad "feature" or a bug. But it's a terrible QOL downgrade. I'm on XBOX Series X with all expansion and game packs.
