This is happening to me as well on PS5, it’s so irritating! It’s just another finicky thing to do before I enter the game that makes me wanna stop playing. It doesn’t affect the actual in game settings though like life-span, relationship events and what not; although it does keep changing the legacy style pie menu, so that page isn’t entirely safe.
