[PS/XB] Game preferences resetting

This issue along with the inability to save is really ruining people's enjoyment of the game on console at the moment, I've lost a whole floors worth of building and hours due to the game thinking it's saved but for it to get stuck on the save menu and realise the last saved time was 2 hours ago even tho I pressed save every 10 minutes. Then to add to insult I have to force close the game knowing I'm loosing my work, to then reopen and have to scale down the UI settings, turn down the volume settings, invert the camera settings AND turn off control legends every single time, I hate people moaning about the game but this is quite extreme
