[RL] All babies are being born 'secret'

I'm having the same problem. Also, tried it with and without mods. Nothing changed.

This is happening to me also. I have no mods or cc. In my save if a baby is born it’s showing as secret child and father is step father. I tried a new save after repairing and clearing out folder and same thing happens. 

I also am having the same issue. It also keeps resetting itself back to this state even if I manually change the relationships between them, too.

Same here 😔😭 And I’m currently playing on a new unmodded Savefile. I have no Mods/CC because I removed them, as I’m waiting for at least a week to give creators time to update their mods. So I know Mods or CC does not cause this.

My Sim had a baby with her fiancé and in the family tree, the baby is listed as a “secret child”, even though no one cheated, they are only partners with each other, and there was no other possible father at any point.

Having the baby didn’t check off the fiancé’s “Have a child” wish in his Soul’s Journey, as if he didn’t know the child was his, even though the mother shared the news with him after taking the pregnancy test, and he did the “Pre-parental panic” action while she was in labour. I’m not seeing any way to edit the relationship in the family tree, or any kind of interaction between the parents that would reveal the existence of the child, either before or after its birth.

I also tried having them elope before the baby’s birth, in case the issue was having a baby out of wedlock, and that didn't fix. Then, I tried using cas.fulleditmode to make the baby his son, and that checked off the wish in his Soul’s Journey, but the family tree still says the baby is a “secret baby”. 

The only explanation I can think of is that the baby was conceived out of wedlock, but it seems silly for that to automatically cause the baby to be a secret when the parents are romantic partners and neither is cheating on the other. That being said, the secret baby isn't showing up in the secret/scandal section of her notebook, so I think it may just be an issue with the family tree? I ended up quitting without saving and am not touching that save for now.

For info, I have all the expansion packs, game packs and stuff packs, but don't have most of the kits. I don't use any mods or CC, and play on Mac.

I literally just had that happen to me. I had a couple Sims give birth after I installed the new pack, and it didn't register the baby's father AS the baby's father! I had to delete the baby and make a new one in CAS.

I did some testing, because I have the same issue in my game and discovered, that it was mc command center for me. One sim was pregnant before I installed the pack and I opened the game with mc command installed. The babies were (twins) were born with the secret child trait (in the picture I aged up one of them to see if the secret child trait stays and it does). The father recognised them as stepchildren AND secret children. 

The second time around I generated a new pregnancy with mccc and the child (once again) was born as a secret child. However, if the pregnancy happens via woohoo, the pregnancy is recognised as "legitimate" and the baby comes out as daughter/son. 

And as the last step I opened my older save file I backuped before I installed the pack and the twins were "legitimate" again. 

So I am sure it's a mod bug. 

And you tested it out to be sure?
