The lessons overview says that I should be able to adopt or "ask to be adopted" with adult sims provided that
A.) The sim does not already have parents,
B) the adopted sim is at least one age category below the adopted parents,
and C) the friendship is high enough.
I have been trying to get my sim adopted into the Monty family. She is a young adult while the prospective parents are both Adults, she is also at max friendship with both of them, and she has no parents currently listed on her family tree. According to the game, I should see the 'ask to be adopted' option in the Change Relationship menu, but the only options showing up in that menu for her is "Become BFFs" and "Ask to be Woohoo Partners" with no option to adopt. I am not playing with any mods so either this is a bug, or the lesson on adult adoption is incorrect/missing information.
