[S] Stuck on Select Season for several unrelated interaction (1.113.288/2.09)

Try the following

• Close the game
• Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
• Repair the game
• Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. 
• Start a new save game
• Check if you still have the error
• Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

That said, there has been a bug with this in the past that has been fixed but I want to make sure it's not something else.

Guess that bug is back then.

I'm getting the same error when trying to purchase a Small Business Lot, I haven't tried travel or anything on this save yet though.

Original post: Playing on Mac, all expansion packs but not all game/stuff packs or kits. No mods or CC.

When I try to make my Sim purchase a Small Business Lot, it opens the "Choose a Season" menu and just loops this when I select one and click Confirm.

The same thing happens to me every time I log out I get the seasons screen, as if I was making a new game... and then also when I go to a community lot with only one sim, the whole household appears on the lot and also if I want to send them home it doesn't let me... I don't have a mod or cc, but this happened when I met a strange man with a hat who also changed all my settings... And if I did all that and fixed it 3 times, and if in a new game that doesn't happen, how can I make my main game go back to normal?

i also have this bug! every time i want to travel with my character, the game asks me to choose a season. after i choose a season, the game resets the weather settings to default (7 days per season and 8 days in the lunar cycle)

no cc, no mods

That has worked for me, I can successfully buy a Small Business Venue lot now, thank you!

This did seem to work for me at least. I'll let you know if I run into the error again after playing for a bit.

Am I okay to pull my saves and what not into the new folder from the old one? 

It's possible that it's related to the save game. 

You can now start to copy back things from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old to the new Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder that was created.

First only copy (I suggest to copy so you can go back in case anything goes wrong along the way) the content of the folder Saves (these are your save games). If you are prompted if want to overwrite a save, decide if you want to keep that testing save you just made or not. If not, just overwrite if, if you want to keep it, rename the save to a different number that isn't taken.

Test just your save game with nothing else added back. If that works, you can start copying back the rest. If not, check back.

You will need the following folders

- Tray (your households and lots you have saved to library)- Custom Music (if you added any)
- Screenshots (if you've taken any)
- Videos (if you've taken any)
- ConfigOverride (if you made any although I recommend redoing those)
- Options(.ini) (although I recommend to just redo your settings in the game)

Now test again. If that still works, you can put back your mods. Put them back in groups and make sure they are still compatible with the game.

All other files are recreated and not needed.
