We're talking to a wall, guys. Unfortunately, it has become the norm to not fix outrageous bugs for 8 months. Bug Fixing Team, hello!

What's more likely... They're ignoring it or they haven't figured it out yet?
Yelling at them isn't helping, and again-if you have the issue, provide the relevant information to help gather data. You're not helping by posting conspiracy theories that they are just sitting around ignoring it.
Also, this is by all accounts a low priority bug. It's avoidable by turning off rain, it doesn't negatively impact gameplay otherwise, and it's largely visual. It's not going to be the most pressing thing over save corruption and crashes, so it's gonna take a bit longer.

But... people paid for the ability to have rain so... You know. Maybe fix the game instead?

I don't understand in any way, this statement of yours.
First of all, "disabling the rain" is an option that simply does not exist in the reality of the game, you can disable the weather effects on your sims, but it has no relevance to the problem we are examining.
Secondly, then, furiously complaining about solving this bug is more than legitimate for all those who like me spent 40 euros just to have rain and snow. And if the only thing that this EP was supposed to do it does not do, it is normal to expect that customers are furious and ask to put the problem as a priority in the agenda of EA developers who are dedicated to solving bugs.
There is no other marketing like that of "The Sims" where thousands of people solve for free with mods what other sell; in all other marketing they would have already failed, forgotten, buried.
So if you want to help, collaborate on the solution or take care of the bugs that you consider a priority.- Intern_Waffle_649 months agoSeasoned Ace
Disabling rain is literally an option in the game menu.
And I did help and collaborate- I provided several comments with additional insight on the problem. Which is dramatically more than "fix this bug!" does.

I know it feels that way and I hope it's not true because some of these issues are now over 6 years old and still not fixed. If you read the bug reports many have an archived filed listed in them as they were active issues on the old forum that had not yet been fixed.
There are now so many "under investigation" reports that whoever is trying to solve the problem, be it this problem alone, is struggling with the coding!!! The interface of the base game and actual game packs trying to get them to all work together without any hitches while creating new packs, must be an absolute nightmare!
One thing most do not consider, that many of the folks who coded the orginal base game 10 years ago, they are no longer with maxis/EA and thus those who are new to the coding of this game, have to deep dive to really see the orginal coding. I empathize with the frustration and the length of time this is taking to be fixed but I also am able to empathize with the folks who are trying to fix it.
Satisifing an audience that demands immediate gratification, in so many ways, is no an easy thing to do!

I lost empathy when the bug is over a year old. There are bugs that still have not been fixed that are almost as old as the game is.
