Visiting again, 2 months later, to say this is still a problem. It's not just visual either. For some, it seems to be, but for me, the temperature indoors seems to match the temperature outside, threatening to kill sims. Occasionally electronics inside will break due to the rain/snow. The only thing I haven't noticed (yet) are puddles indoors. But it does affect gameplay and is incredibly annoying.
