EA bug team; Here's notes on this bug in case it can help: I've noticed this bug since Jan 14 2025, but some people said they think they had it since Oct.2024. I have all dlc except last 2 kits, as of April 28 2025. I have nvidia card on desktop gaming PC, & this weather bug happens whether I use directx9 or directx11. Whether I build with draw wall tool, or draw square room tool. In old save game as well as new save games. I don't use custom content, nor mods of any kind. I cleared EA cache, cleared sims4 cache, started new save file, new family. Tried every world & several houses in each world. Bug happens every time. One of your patches broke it, so you should review the patches you made between Oct 2024 to Jan 14 2025 patch fixes, to find what made it go wrong. I was thinking your round pools could have caused it or the time ceilings were broken causing outside shadow inside on ceiling, & the fix you did to it, but who knows. So far, here's a list of possible things that you should look at, fixes you made between that time frame, that could possibly be causing the bug. (&I wonder if this bug also happens to people who don't have batuu, so far a few people without weather bug said they didn't have batuu.) Anyway, Please check your fixes in case they could be a cause: Oct.22 2024 -you made option to swap gravestone/urns to the other one, whether you're indoors or outdoors. - you made directx11 gpu detection on hybrid systems. - you made texture now apply on 1 tile gable roofs. - you cleared situations where build mode objects & houses placed with move objects cheat, appeared in sky. Then on Dec.3 2024 - you made it that simmers running directx11 no longer see sky causing game to shut down unexpectedly. - 'You made stairs from snowy escape, jungle adventure & batuu, now have supporting walls beneath them.' Then finally, on Jan 14 2025, - you made full screen minimization fix, resolving issue of couldn't minimize game in full screen using directx11 & alt tab & windows key now works. - 'you fixed neon signs to no longer break due to rain. -lastly, 'water puddle vfx animation no longer appears on ground floor when sims swim on 2nd floor.'
Had thought maybe people without lovestruck didn't have weather bug, but was told they did too. Really stumped on what you did that broke weather, I wish you guys were smart enough to figure it out, but if you can't, EA really needs to add more qualified people to the bug fixing team, with inZOI out now, & paralives on the way, this bug is going to drive your valued customers away, & it wouldn't hurt to hire more fixers for your team, in comparing to what you could lose, this way is way more affordable.
Speaking for myself, this bug is such an eyesore ruining my experience with this game, so I can't buy more dlc until it's resolved, hopefully it's figured out sooner than late.🙏
The timeframe seems right, I've only got in console Sims 4 in the last year or 2. So I'm very late to the party when I bought seasons, must of been just after Christmas cos I got a big ps store gift card where I bought multiple packs. So I got seasons around then, late December, very early January, and it was literally perfectly fine for about a week, then this issue started getting reported on, typical 🤣🤣 now I have it in every house. So about Jan 14th would be about right, in my case anyway, it was a great pack before this, now I dread any kind of rain, god forbid a snowstorm 🤣

I took a pause from this game over a month ago, hoping that they would fix the weather bug. Coming back to check it out and seems like they haven't fixed it. I'm not sure what bothers me more, the fact that it rains in the house or the fact that the wizards at EA can't figure out how to fix it. Safe to say, I think I'm done with this game. Been playing it off and on for over 6 years. Its not worth getting angry at the bugs at the game. Just going to move on to something less buggy. Spent a ton of money on packs and kits, but no more.
