[S] Weather Effects Occurring Inside Structures

crinrict*edited with tag* If it helps anyone investingating this bug I've gone through all the emergancy patches from 2024 and from what I've worked out the weather issue for me personally started with the 4th November 2024 Emergancy Patch - Game Version 1.2.16.10. There was also one on 7th November but I am 98% certain it was the 1st as I remember hoping the patch after would be to fix the weather issue caused. So four days after the launch of 'Life and Death'. Like yourself I am on strike financially also. 

CommodoreLezmo   I personally would EDIT and tag your post so that at least, @   Crinrict , can see it.  It may be info they do not have and may really help solve the issue.  We never know do we?   

Great idea! Just edited it, like you said we never know, its worth a shot.

I do not have ravenwood nor life and death, I did not know that weather effects were not included in the packs?!?!  How can that be??  I thought weather was to affect all packs?!?!   I just learned something new!!!   I would have thought the pack was broke!  ummm Wait...  there were issues with them... both of them and none involved weather!  ROFLOL  And those reported issues are why I never paid to play the packs.    Edit:  I just looked and Ravenwood is Life and Death!  LOL

If this has been fixed, then I recommend you do a game repair. Also, delete the localthumbcache.package from your game. It likes to hold little bits of stuff in it.

Since you don't know me, LOL,  I get what your saying!

Just so you know,  I always, before I go online to play, I remove all LastException's which occur simply by entering the game and localthumcache.package.   I also will clear the EA app's cache 24 to 36 hours after an update or install.  then again periodically just to be sure it's clear of all the advertisements and changes they made to the splashscreen.  Because it can build up there too!  Your system may try to read files that it no longer needs! 

I have had to "repair my game so many times after each new pack it is actually ridiculous as to how many times I have done it.  Sad fact is this tho:  I have only 1 game, meaning when I play, I always resume playing, I never "choose" a game.  I have 1.  which means I have 5 saves for that 1 game.  Never CC/MOD, Always create a new save once an update is complete, exit game, go back in game and choose to play the new save I created, enter and then delete the old save.  With that being said, other than the game play, I should have exactly what the developers gave me!    100% virgin 100%pure.   If what I have doesn't match what they have, then I am going to wonder how and why not?? Because everything I have came from EA developers.

I don't work for EA. I can do nothing about any issues getting fixed or not fixed and I don't investigate this issue either.

Among many other bugs, this is happening in my game as well. So tired.

 I noticed this started happening after the update that fixed the swimming water trail animation showing on the underside of the floor above. I don't know what number update that was tbh I don't keep track, just update my game and keep playing but I definitely know for me  it was that one that started it on my game. 

I'm on ps4 so no mods, CC etc and I don't use cheats or the gallery/library at all. 

It only seems to be extreme weather like heavy rain/thunderstorms and heavy snow/snowstorms that make it clip through the house boundary. I won't say it's gamebreaking just visually strange because you know it shouldn't be raining in the kitchen but my mermaid is enjoying the rain indoors and always being hydrated is a bonus, her dog leaving shake off puddles around the house is a bit annoying though, but she's a neat freak so makes her happy to have something to clean lol

I'm sure they'll fix it in due time, if it starts to annoy me I'll just turn off weather effects, no biggy, still can have the benefits of sunshine, heat, clouds and cold with it turned off.
