Try Serenity 420's trick, leave the error message up and wait. After a few minutes I get the green pop up in the right hand corner come up to say it has saved ...
No, sadly; I did try that, and the Repair option - I can download what I like from the Gallery to my Library, but almost nothing will save to My Library from my games :(
Hi, is anyone else having problems with saving or uploading custom get away lots uploading to the gallery? I get a pop up saying server error, try again later but this has been happening since testerday 18/10
I'm having this issue now. Every single time I try to upload my lot to the gallery I get the "Server Error. We could not process this gallery request. Please try again later."
I can download lots just fine. Just can't upload my own lot to my gallery or save it as a new save. This happens both with and without mods. I've tried repairing my game. Everything. It still consistently happens after the most recent update. I really hope it gets fixed and yes, this is an entirely new save file. The last update corrupted my gave and I had to delete it. All mods were updated and broken ones were removed. I then removed mods all together and repaired my game. Deleted cache files and went into the game fresh cc/mod free. Tried uploading a base game lot to the gallery. "Server Error" popped up yet again.
Please help. I suspect this isn't me and a Sims issue. I hope it gets solved soon.
MichyCoe79 This is likely not relevant for you (or maybe anyone's situation on this report), but do you have the issue if you remove (and save) your 'Tray' folder in your 'The Sims 4' folder (Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4) (just save it in a safe place on your computer or a thumb drive since it has all of the stuff you have worked on in it)... Then you can re-start the game and it will create a brand 'Tray' folder, but it will not contain any of the things you added to your Library.
I mention this just in case anyone is having the issue that I did at one point... I had a time where I had saved so many items to my 'Library' that it was bloated and causing me issues. In the end I ended up doing research on how to do this and I saved out some of the files in my Tray folder to only add occasionally for a specific purpose... so I can switch out my Tray folder at that time, then put my not-bloated one back in afterward. So in other words, I had to work on making sure that my 'Library' (Tray folder) was not too big. It may also be possible that if you have a ton of 'Game Saves' in your game that the 'Saves' folder can also get huge/bloated?
Anyway, I have no idea if any of this could be relevant to you or anyone here, I'm just bringing it up because I've had issues before if I let that folder get huge. If you experiment with this, though, be very sure to save/backup everything carefully first, since you likely have many precious items saved in those folders!
I can save small rooms when placed with MoveObjects, only about 3*6 squares, but not bigger rooms with or without the MoveObjects. I don't use mods or CC.
I can save very small rooms, but anything bigger and I get the error message pop up and now my game has started crashing when I go back into build mode from the failed attempt to save to the gallery; super fustrating.
This started happening to me a couple days ago. The error popup looks like this:
And as expected, the lot didn't save to my library. I started troubleshooting by disabling mods, removing mods from the Mods folder, and deleting cache files. This didn't work, so I repaired the game with Steam, having to acquire some files, but this didn't work either, so I backed up my game by copying The Sims 4 document folder, using the Steam backup feature, removing The Sims 4 document folder, and reinstalling the game. This didn't seem to fully work either but gave me some insight: when opening the fresh install, the game warned me that my graphics card wasn't recognized, and I remembered that I'd just updated the driver for it a few days ago. I saw the same error popup when trying to save my lot but after clicking OK and waiting some seconds later, I saw this:
And funny enough, the lot did save to my library. I didn't want to play on a fresh install, so I restored my game from its backup and rolled back my graphics driver. With mods still disabled, I tried again to save the lot to my library. The result was the same as the fresh install, it gave me the error popup but saved the lot anyway.
Honestly not sure how helpful this info is because the error popup shows up in all cases, but it may be related to the graphics (?) and not related to mods (?). For reference, I have an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 and my graphics driver is the NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver 581.29 (released 9/10/25)
so far (what has worked for me anyway) if you leave it sit on the error pop up and wait for a few minutes, then the upload goes through and you can exit the error
