It turns out that every Sim that spawns in the world is registered to post on Social Bunny, regardless if you or they use Social Bunny. And so the longer you play and the more locations you visit, the more Sims try to post on Social Bunny every 1 in-game hour per Sim. The game can get somewhat laggy this way and restarting it doesn't help.
