Sim still shown as at work

I've had this happen whenever an event happens that would cause the sim to get promoted while they are still at work (since promotions normally happen once work has ended). In fact, it's pretty consistent that if a pop up (like the one for comedians that can instantly put them at level 10) happens, then the sim will still show as being at work even while they are at home at the end of their shift.

My sim is at home but her status is stuck on "at work". I can command all the actions of home. I can't do work actions such as livestream or build skills as an entrepreneur. I tried to reset the sim using the cheat code and it will not reset.

Could you please provide the following information

• Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
• What platform are you playing on (PC, Mac, Playstation, XBox)
• What career is your Sim in ? 
• Do you remember what happened when the Sim got stuck ? Coming home from work ? Did something make the Sim come home early ?
• Do you have the option to leave early or now icon at all ?

- What actually are you reporting ? Is your Sim stuck at work when coming home ? Do you not have any work tones ? Please try to post some info on what you did and what happened.

I want to report some kind of bug that causes sims to get stuck at work at the end of their shift. For some reason, when the sim gets back home the UI appears to be at work while the sim is in the lot and I have to go to manage worlds and come back to the household for it to disappear and get paid in case of promotions. Might be silly, but it is so annoying. 😟

So the issue started when I took my one sim and her child to the park, the husband called with a message that said "I took your advice and am changing careers". Super random. Then with the weird switch, when they got home from the park, the husband was home from work but stuck with the symbol of his portrait that said work hard. He is constantly getting a dazed emote from it and I can't fix it. I have tried every current recommendation but it's making it near impossible. I also do not have mods and this is making me very upset. I need a fix.
