I was having this problem as well with Sims telling me suddenly they can no longer reach the downstairs bathroom where my toddler became trapped lol They lived there no issues for months, no edits to the house until the update (the one which came a week before EBN) decided it was going to become tricky. I had to pick up and put the door back down to get them to go through again.
The house by the way is not even one I made, it came with the pack in San Sequoia "Robles Point".
