After completing the new update on the Sims 4, I'm constantly having to reset them. They all just stop moving. I have no mods on my game, no old files or saves as I got so fed up with it I removed everything and re-installed the game, created a new household of one and it just keeps freezing. No idea what to do.

Community ManagerSame here. It's actually gotten worse since the 9/22 update. Practically everything my sims do is very delayed. I queue things up for them to do and they just stand there for a long time without doing anything. I am constantly now pausing the game to allow the game to "catch up" so I do not lose too much "in game" time. Takes forever to play a single day and it's beyond frustrating. This has been going on for a while now.
Seems like this happens while sims dance more than anything else but my game randomly freezes quite often now...for now apparent reason. Sometimes after a few minutes the freeze lifts but other times it doesn't and I'm forced to quit the game. Sims will be stuck in their dance animations or whatever they were doing prior to the freeze. I am unable to select anyone or anything..no interactions.
My sims suddenly started standing still and not moving for realtime hours and all the time actions queue up and up until my whole game crashes. I tried to switch to another sim to interact to break the sims 'trance', but it just froze the other sim too. I can't put in console commands because I'm trying to play for achievements and I'm too committed to this world since I'm already in so many generations.
My sims will randomly freeze, this happens if if have mods or run a vanilla game. The world will keep going, but my sims will be frozen in place.
I am playing on PC.
I am also having this issue. Time continues to pass and animations on the lot continue to animate but the Sims just stand there... staring at a half cooked meal, or at the puddle their supposed to mop... the toilet that they need to repair. It's bizarre. I have removed MCCC and yet this is still occurring. Are there files I can provide to help troubleshoot?
Same issue here. I select action and even though it's noted as a to-do, they just stand there.

Same here! I recently started playing again and have found that my parent sims get stuck whenever i give them tasks to take care of their infants/babies and the tasks get stuck in the for later queue even if they don't have anything in their immediate queue. This resulted in me having to hire a nanny because I would get notifications pointing me to the basic toddler/infant care lessons. I need to test and see if the new update (Sep 22, 2026) fixed it, but from what I'm seeing in the list of fixes the update covers, it hasn't been included. So, hopefully this message is helpful for the Sims team. Another thing I find quite annoying is that if I don't clean my animals in Cottage Living for 1 day, I'm already getting notifications at night in the game saying they'll leave if they don't get proper care, when in reality I have a gardening and animal/home care club that I summon daily to help take care of them, giving them affection, socializing with them, and feeding them.
Suddenly, it resolved itself.
