When sims are supposed to be nude or have more revealing clothing the salmon colored (hideous btw) underwear from CAS body edit mode is showing.

Another week has gone by without any fix for this...
I'd be happy with a mod solution at this point so long as they could stay dressed in cas and sunbathing worked, but those seem to be impossible to do together in the way people have been making fixes for this
My solution makes sunbathing work, but they are nude in CAS. You are right. There is no easy way to fix all of that without knowing the source of the problem in the game and writing a mod that addresses it directly. I wouldn't even begin to know how to do that. But in my game, naked sims in CAS is something I can live with. I'm a grownup. So, I won't be too scandalized by it. Although, thinking about it, if you don't plan to remove the pixelization, a variation of my solution might work. They could have underwear of a color that doesn't show through the pixelation too much. Flesh color, white, etc. And then playing with the shadow or specular maps might allow for the nude sunbathing to work. The game might be fooled into believing the underwear is transparent when it's not.
We've done this exact exchange before where I say I don't appreciate you implying in a reply to my post that I'm childish or too easily scandalized for not wanting nudity in cas, seriously, cut it out. I use default bodies and skins so "nudity in cas" is very much not undetailed barbie dolls for me and I'd like to occasionally play during my lunch break, I'm not clutching at pearls here.
What you described is actually exactly how the ww streamer mode solution I tried earlier works, it didn't help. I think the tan lines are based on the alpha(transparent) channel of the clothings texture, not the shadow or specular but I could mess with it once I can get home and use s4s. I think I saw someone from the original archived thread is working on a full mod to deal with this actually (by resetting the bathing outfit every time it's equipped) on their patreon earlier but I'd need to double check
