'System Error' when placing lot

I created a lot and marked it as residential rental, but every time I try to place it, I get a system error,r and the lot looks like this.

Happens with or without my mods in.

I've also tested other Rentals and they place just fine, and I even tested in a completely new save on different lots, even changing the lot type on the original lot to residential and then reuploading, but still this. Is this the dreaded corruption that happens with Forrent, because I spent a lot of time on this,s and I need it to be functional.

Also, please remove my other post from the Mac side, it won't let me delete it, and I didn't realize I was posting in the wrong spot.

Does sounds like a lot issue. Do you still have the lot in your gallery for testing ?

I'm playing a basegame save atm, also I just deleted the build however i noticed that placing other builds down in the world presented no error messages so perhaps the glitch was with that particular lot. It was basegame but i used the tool mod and better build buy mod on it.

I've recently encountered this problem which I've never had before until now, I'm using the ps5 and have no mods or anything just the regular packs and I saved a residential  to My Library  that I  used so I can put in on a bigger empty lot and it said the same message "system error" and wouldn't let me place the house down.

Could you please provide the following information

-  Are you using mods/cc in your game ?
-  What's the name of the lot you're trying to place ? Do you have it in your gallery or just library ?

nautcosmo  Ok, then.  You can't change the venue anywhere other than on a lot.  Usually, there is a popup that you get when the venue on the lot you're trying to install is different than the venue of the lot you're trying to place the lot on that asks you to pick the venue before the game will place the lot.  Residential rentals seem to be different than other venues though and you don't get that popup.  

So, here is something else you can try.  Try to place the build on another lot.  If the same thing happens, then the lot has glitched more than likely.  It does happen from time to time, even for a player's own lots.  I've had it happen twice.  Idk why it happens, just that it does.  If it does place, you'll know it's not the lot in your Library and something to do with the lot you were trying to place it on.  If it places, then you can go back to the original lot, bulldoze, change the venue, and try to place another lot of a different venue type.  If that places, the bulldoze, and try again with the original lot.  Sometimes that will clear a lot of whatever caused the earlier error.  

If none of that works, start a new game and see if you can place the lot there.  If it doesn't place there either, then the lot is probably glitched and you'll have to build it again if you don't have an earlier version of it in your Library.

nautcosmo I'm not sure exactly what you have going on by what you show in the pic.  But I do have an idea what you need to do to get the house back on the lot.  If the venue of the lot you are trying to place is set to residential and the lot you are trying to place it on is set on the residential rental, that is probably the cause.  So, change the lot venue back to residential, place the house from your library, then change the venue back to residential rental, assign the spaces, etc.
