Frequently sims will talk to another sim or group of sims but instead of facing them, they will talk over their shoulder. Very annoying and hard to tell who is actually being spoken to. This even happens if an adult is talking to an infant/toddler.

When sims are chatting, they are talking to other sims backs. They wont face each other. This has been happening since update before Enchanted by nature.
Could you please provide the following information
- Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
- What platform are you playing ?
and if one of them moves they'll usually keep talking to where the person was previously standing for a while
I notice this happening most frequently when one sim sits in a chair at a table. Two sims will be talking (face to face or standing at least next to each other) and one sims then goes to sit down at a table, while still talking to the other sim, with the result they are now talking to a sim behind them. Why sit down? You were doing fine talking to them and now you are talking to them behind you. This is very immersion breaking as no one would ever do this. This is a super annoying issue. Sims should not sit down while having conversations if they can't do it in a way that is believable. Just keep standing !
I play on PC and this happens pretty regularly. It doesn't irritate me too much unless they autonomously decide to sit down and talk over their shoulders when I had queued up an interaction that required standing up, so then they have to go through the animation of standing BACK up and walking back over to the other sim, which is kind of annoying and slows things down. For me it's mostly just weird and kinda goofy that it even happens. FWIW I do play with mods now, but I played vanilla for a very long time and it happened then too.
I’ve had this problem occasionally for a long time, but it’s gotten a lot more frequent lately. It’s the worst for me when they spawn on the lots. Like they stay where they spawned but still do the interaction, bending their arms backwards all ridiculous
