I also have the same problem. I had two teens in my family, when I played in november. When my 1st teen aged up to YA, I could choose 3rd trait for him. I'm not 100% sure, but before my 2nd teen's birthday, I bought Life&Death expansion pack, I aged up my 2nd teen and I couldn't choose 3rd trait for him.
In december I started a new gameplay (the same family, but started with wedding, giving birth to sons, etc.) A few weeks ago, when I aged up my older teen, the problem occured. It is frustrating.
I did some "research". I started yesterday another new game, without mods, and I had 1 teen in family, I aged him up and 3rd trait selection popped up. Maybe some mods are broken? Now I'm playing with family on a new save, without mods (I was able to choose 3rd trait). I can't say, that this bug is "fixed". I created a backup save, which is not broken (in case the problem will appear in the future)

It's not a mod issue. There's users on console that have this.
crinrictwhy is this changed to needs more information..? What more information is needed to get this fixed. This issue has been happening for so long. You can see Reddit post dating back years. This was never solved and probably never will be
The thread in the bug archive was set to needs saves. It just translates to needs info. I can't find the post where they asked for saves as the show more is just horrible.
