There is currently an issue in MCCC that is causing a freezing like this if you have auto-marriages turned on.
If you encounter this is with ANY mods in your game, then this is not your thread. ...

I have this glitch after new update, where my sims are frozen, can’t save (but can switch between needs bars or anspirations) and game does not crash? I reloaded the game, opened by epic and ea - both same stories. I thought it was new yers eve causing the problem but no, once I immediately end the holiday, it did the same freeze. Time does not go by but sims still do the animations. I don’t use any mods.
Could you please provide the following information
- Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.

This sounds like the issue I’m having as well. Once the game loads it works for about a minute and then I can’t click anything, and if I pause the game, time will stop but the sims keep moving. It’s also taking way longer for my game to load and it’s crashed several times before getting to the main menu. Never had an issue like this before.
tytonidae77 Do you also not have any mods/cc ? What platform are you on ? Your sounds different, especially the crashing and long loading.
