Ideas
I am a gameplay simmer - I'm not really interested in building (yay gallery! and the fab creators on there that do beautiful builds I can download to my game) and I REALLY dislike CAS - if EAs next big gallery update was to enable us to have styled looks on the gallery and download them onto our sims that would be a great update.
I find downloading sims from other players is a bit annoying because they come with skills or unlock all the gameplay clothing so I prefer to start fresh with no unlocks and unlock the clothing through gameplay. (it's really sad for me when you see a really pretty sim but then you download and realise they've unlocked all the gameplay clothing and unless I'm not working out how to do it right the entire household now has access to that clothing)
If we could have some type of styled system in the game and the ability to download other players CAS outfits onto my own sim that would be a great update - I just spent an hour yesterday going through my townies and trying to style them from their really awful outfits - basically picking one of the few styled looks and switching out pieces just to make them presentable about town. It's really annoying the amount of makeup and accessories this game gives sims.
I am also really regretting unlocking those event shoes from the nature event, all townies seem to be swimming with them now because they are enabled as swimwear. This is why even if there was the ability in game for the player to choose if an item belongs in a category it would be helpful by default. I know how to get at items the game doesn't believe should be with a category it's not like you can't wear a T-Shirt and shorts in the winter category, just remove the winter outfit tag and you can walk around in a T-shirt and shorts in winter if I choose that for my sim - you are able to access anything in CAS by removing any of the tags. So why are things I consider to be inappropriate tagged in a way that they can be generated randomly by townies? e.g. those nature event shoes being tagged as swimwear?
If I want a swimwear lounging outfit on the beach with shoes I've always removed the tag and brought up all the shoes to pick the ones I want. I don't understand if the tagging system has changed with recent packs, if the devs are forgetting to tag items or because now the everyday outfit has the most items and clutter some outfits I think should only be in "party" are tagged as everyday so random townies generate with it and wear it as an everyday piece and I sit there and stare at them going - delete them or go into CAS to fix? They are messing up my photo as they are in the background shot and don't look the part.
