Issue:
Canning recipes are not recognizing ingredients even though the ingredients are present in both the Sim inventory and refrigerator inventory.
Example:
Tomatoes, apples, sugar, and other ingredients are visible in inventory/fridge, but canning recipes remain grayed out and show requirements as missing (0/1). Regular cooking recipes correctly recognize the same ingredients. The issue only affects canning.
Troubleshooting Already Attempted:
• Cleared cache files
• Deleted localthumbcache/package files
• Repaired game through EA App
• Tested in a completely fresh save
• Tested with a brand-new household
• Removed all fridge contents and rebought ingredients
• Tested with ingredients in Sim inventory and fridge inventory
• No mods or CC installed
Additional Notes:
Normal cooking functions correctly and recognizes ingredients. Only Cottage Living canning interactions fail to recognize ingredients.
