Basically the game isnt recognizing its a window. It happens with open door frames or regular doors too. The doors are functional but in game the windows look like walls with a window frame like the photo. Build mode, Live Mode, and Shows it in the gallery.

Hey guess what big surprise still having this issue too on PC. Happens every single build no matter what windows/doors I use.
I have been having this issue on xbox series x console for years. This happens to any kind of door or window I place. It only happens to me in build mode but persists into live mode after exiting build mode. I notice it always happens randomly to doors and windows after using the swatch tool or using the shortcut button the change the swatch of anything that is already placed in live mode. 100% of triggering with the swatch tool but also happens sometimes when I don't use the swatch tool because I don't use the swatch tool anymore because of this bug, except for when I accidentally click on it with the shortcut button for it. If a window or door ends up appearing like that in build mode without me noticing and I don't fix it immediately in build mode by picking it up with the (xbox controller buttons) "a" button and then pressing "b" to cancel, then the door or window will eventually vanish completely, and I have to place a new one. It is most noticeable in live mode when I get a routing error from sims that they can't get to a room because the door vanished and is no longer there. Its very annoying, tedious and time consuming having to regularly scan my build to make sure none of the windows or doors are about to vanish or have already vanished.
