I started having similar problems a few months ago, and it just got worse and worse. Now i can´t enter my main family household from my legacy save, I can not enter even in build mode. It seems ill have to start a new save with my two legacys of 7 and 8 gens 😩Fortunately, since the problems started, I've gotten into the habit of saving my Sims and my lots in my gallery with every little change i´ve made; otherwise, I wouldn't even be able to move them to another save.

They say its always top community concerns so console players will never have a voice surely not being able to play the game should be a priority if it was happening on pc it would of been fixed by now

Once again I see the new laundry list for December completely ignores the issues us console players have been dealing with for months now and wasn't even a footnote in the list not a single update or progress report.
This has gone on for way too long now, how do you expect console players to put up with this? We littraly cannot play the game!

I have been playing The Sims for several years, and the developers have completely broken the game. The Sims 4 on PS5 has been crashing constantly, and I cannot even save my game anymore. It has been like this for months, and nothing has been fixed, while EA keeps releasing one DLC after another. I honestly feel robbed.
I own almost every DLC up to "Enchanted by Nature" and the game became severely broken right after the update released before that DLC. I cannot build houses, I cannot save, I cannot play. This is not normal, and at this point it feels like EA is scamming console players.
And no, this is NOT an issue with my PS5. While The Sims has been unplayable for months, I completed Assassin’s Creed: Shadows and its DLC, and I am currently playing Anno 117 without a single problem. Every other game works perfectly. What frustrates me even more is seeing PC players claiming that this is somehow the console’s fault - it is absolutely not. The developers broke the game months ago and have done nothing to fix it.
What also feels like a huge slap in the face is the amount of DLC EA has released during this time. There is money and time for new paid content, yet the console version of the game remains completely broken. My PlayStation keeps offering and recommending new DLC for a game that simply does not work. This is not normal - it feels like pure exploitation.
I am extremely frustrated. I contacted EA months ago on X, wrote to them on Facebook, and tried reporting the issue here as well. Eventually I gave up because nothing changed. It honestly feels like going through a breakup. I am not allowed to play my favourite game because it crashes every single time I try to save or travel.
I have 6,524 hours played in The Sims 4 and for what? It now feels like a complete waste of time and money. I literally cannot play the game at all, and there is nothing I can do about it.
I feel like EA has taken my money and left me with a broken product. After several months of the game being completely unplayable on consoles, this situation is beyond extreme. Console players clearly do not matter to EA. If PC players had this issue, it would have been fixed immediately. Most well-known YouTubers play on PC, so they are unaffected.
I have given up hope that EA will ever fix this.
At this point, what I want to know is: is there any way to receive at least a partial refund for the money I invested in The Sims? It is unacceptable that I spent so much money on DLC and the game is completely broken.
I am planning to contact Sony Support as well, because this is not normal and I should not be expected just to “accept” that I can no longer play a game I have over 6,524 hours in. From time to time, I check the forum hoping for a fix, but nothing ever changes. I tried playing the game again today - and of course, it crashed again.
It seems I will never be able to play The Sims again, and I am forced to simply accept it.

This has been an issue since at least May, and it has not been officially acknowledged as a problem. So many console users, including myself, have been unable to even play this game for months now. Can we at least get an explanation of why it's taking so long to resolve? We (general players) were promised more transparency and yet the actual communication about bugs and fixing them falls short of expectations.
150+ bugs were supposedly fixed in the last patch, and yet not even a mention of this major game-breaking one. Feels bad.

I played after the recent huge update and my game is still crashing on Xbox. This time, after I entered the bb.move cheat in build mode, the game instantly crashed. This random crashing bs has been an ongoing issue for me and I’m so bummed I can’t play the game because of this anymore.

I'm going to have a lot of time to play over the next few months and I really want to get a couple of the latest expansion packs, but at the same time I'm completely losing hope because my game keeps crashing when saving it (on PS5). Playing offline has generally helped but doesn't prevent the crashes entirely, and right now I really don't know what else to try. If this continues I may have to find a different game to play instead.
This has only been an issue for the last few patches (since pre-AA I think?) - before that it was never an issue for me. Crashes used to happen for me mainly while traveling, but it would autosave so it wasn't completely game-breaking like it is now.

I have been playing Sims 4 on Xbox One since the year 2019. However, at first my game crashes during the save but not all the time, then the game crashes so that I can no longer continue my game. Conclusion, the save of my game is corrupted and crashes the game, and it has been 4 years. I tried all possible solutions to my reach but the problem is still not resolved.

Seriously every little thing I do in this game is now causing crashes! Saving after 5 minuets of gameplay.....crash! Exiting to the world map.....crash! Entering create a sim.....crash!
I have not played this game for the past three expansions now! I have no more words for how exhausted I am with the lack of progress and extremely angry about the insane amount of money I've pumped into this game for it to without exaggeration, littraly be unplayable for nearly 9 months now!
This was my comfort game it one of the few things my adhd riddled brain can maintain any sort of focus on and now its just wasting precious memory on my playstation whilst I hope one day this issue will one day be fixed but I'm quickly losing all hope
