The Sims Team
Status changed:Needs InfotoNeeds InfoWe’re aware of a crashing issue some console players are experiencing since the June 17 update. While we investigate the cause please manually save regularly, and stay tuned for updates as we monitor any potential impact to the Nature’s Calling Event.

This crashing issue has be going on since the burglar update! It is absolutely affecting the current Nature's Calling event since leaving your home lot causes an instant crash. Also repeated saving isn't completely safe as eventually the game will crash when saving. I'm lucky if I can get an hour of gameplay before the game breaks

Still ongoing, now also experiencing bug where game is unplayable after switching from build / buy mode to live mode. Only option is to save and quit and restart.

I’m extremely angry and demotivated.
The Sims 4 keeps crashing constantly on my PS5 - now even when saving, when traveling, in build mode, or even when I'm just gardening at home. Yesterday the game crashed 7 times in a row. I ended up doing nothing but staying on the home lot and gardening, thinking it would help - but it still crashed after just 5 minutes.
This has never happened before. The crashes started after the spring update, but never this insanely, and never during saving.
I’ve been playing The Sims since Sims 1. I have 6523 hours logged on PS5. I own almost every DLC, and now, with a new expansion coming this Thursday, I have no way to play the game at all.
It’s unbelievable. I don’t think there’s a more broken game out there. I have literally no way to play - it crashes nonstop.
I’ve decided not to buy the new expansion pack. Why should I pay for content I can’t even play?

The crashing is getting worse now! Just loading into my household is crashing the game! I load in the gameplay freezes upon loading then resumes then seconds later just crashes.
The fact you've allowed this to go on this long it's absolutely gross. I poured so much money into this game and it's quite littraly unplayable

It’s unbelievable that a new DLC is supposed to release today, and we console players simply can’t play the game - and EA and the developers clearly don’t care. Let’s be honest: there are fewer console players than PC players. The game is now crashing nonstop, it’s completely broken and unplayable, and they act like it’s nothing.
I honestly believe that if PC players were experiencing the same level of crashing - especially with a new DLC releasing today - EA would’ve fixed it immediately. But we’re "just console players", so I guess we’re expected to wait. Players reported this issue two months ago, and nothing happened. And now, after the last update, the game is so broken that we can’t play at all anymore. It crashes constantly.
I wanted to buy the new DLC, but I’ve decided not to. Logically, how could I buy it when the game itself doesn’t work? And seeing that this issue has been reported months ago with no action taken - I’ve decided I’m done with The Sims. It’s just a waste of time at this point. Every update breaks something else, and on consoles, we can’t do anything about it.
To me, this is the most extreme failure so far. At least before, you could somehow play even if the game crashed during travel. But now? We are in the worst phase possible - constant crashing. We simply cannot play at all. And we have no hope the devs will fix it.
So I’ve made my decision - I’m going back to playing Assassin’s Creed. I’m done with The Sims. And that really hurts to say, because this has been my favorite game ever (I’ve played since The Sims 1). But I refuse to be treated like this. Shame on the developers. This kind of disrespect is aimed only at console players. Because let’s be honest - if this happened to PC players, it would be a full-blown crisis and EA would fix it, especially with a pack releasing. But for us? Nothing.
You should be ashamed. I regret spending so much money on The Sims, only to end up with a completely broken product and no one doing anything. Sony should remove The Sims from the store just like they did with Cyberpunk. Honestly, this feels like fraud. You advertise a new expansion while the base game doesn’t even function. That’s theft. Console players will buy it - and then won’t be able to play at all.

This whole situation has honestly made me furious. This game is ten years old - and instead of running smoothly by now, it's completely broken. How can you even justify selling new DLC on Xbox and PlayStation when the base game is this broken? This feels like straight-up theft. How else am I supposed to see it?
If this were happening with any other console game, it would be a massive scandal - just like what happened with Cyberpunk. But we’re just a small community - Sims players on consoles - so I guess it’s fine to screw us over like this.
I am truly frustrated and angry. Shame on you. Thieves. Absolute thieves.

So enchanted by nature exp pack made my game completely unplayable. Everytime i try to save my game i got game error CE-108255-1. I PAYED for something that is completely unplayable. I play on PS5 and its been like this crashing for months now.
Why oh why are you selling broken games. I agree with previous post this is theft.
