[INFORMATION] How to Send User Files to The Sims 4 Team
Occasionally it is useful for The Sims 4 team to collect user files (saves, videos, exception logs, etc.) in order to investigate issues. These are the ways that you can share user files and media with The Sims 4 team: (Note: These methods may have different file size restrictions. OneDrive or Google Drive is recommended for larger files. If you use OneDrive or Google Drive, please include your user name and a brief summary of the issue, so that we can identify it.) PC/Mac: Direct attachment (only for text files) You can attach a text file directly to a forum post. Upload with a OneDrive account How to upload files to OneDrive: LINK How to share files from OneDrive: LINK Please set the file(s) to be shared for anyone that has access to your OneDrive link The resulting file download URL can be included in a forum post, private message, etc. Upload with a Google Drive account How to upload files to Google Drive: LINK How to share files from Google Drive: LINK Please set the file(s) to be shared for Public access Click “Get shareable link” The resulting file download URL can be included in a forum post, private message, etc. Most PC/Mac files that we request will be located in \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\ . For example, game saves for The Sims 4 are located in \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves\ . Ciao a tutti. ❤️ Ho pensato di scrivere questo post per aiutare altri giocatori ad effettuare eventuali verifiche prima di inviare una segnalazione a EA. Come si vede anche dal pop up giallo che appare in alto al forum, EA sta cercando di sistemare delle problematiche che sono insorte nella app in questi giorni, quindi il primo consiglio che vi do è di non acquistare niente di nuovo finché il problema non sia risolto. La seconda cosa da fare e di Svuotare la cache, come descritto nel link. Fatte queste premesse passiamo alle verifiche vere e proprie: Per utenti che hanno effettuato acquisti su EA app, Origin o sul sito 1) Verificate che l'account con cui fate il login sulla EA app/Origin sia quello corretto dove avete effettuato gli acquisti. 2) Se la risposta è sì, allora dovete verificare, sulla vostra pagina personale, lo stato dell'acquisto. Andate sul sito EA ed effettuate il login con le vostre credenziali, a quel punto cliccate l'icona del vostro avatar in alto a destra e scegliete Impostazioni Account. Da lì selezionate la scheda Cronologia degli Ordini, dovrebbe mostrarvi tutti gli ultimi ordini effettuati. Controllate se prima di tutto sono presenti gli acquisti che avete fatto e poi in che Stato sono. Se lo stato è qualcosa di diverso da Completato, segnatevelo ed eventualmente scrivetelo poi nel report di errore. Una volta fatte queste verifiche, se il problema persiste, la procedura è aprire una segnalazione. Seguite le indicazioni presenti in questa guida (che è sia per utenti PC sia per utenti MAC) e scrivetevi da qualche parte il numero di pratica (Reporter ID) che vi servirà in seguito. Una volta inviata la segnalazione e col numero di pratica (EA app Error Reporter ID) in vostro possesso, potete scrivere sul forum inglese di AHQ in questo thread. Nel primo messaggio del thread vi verrano rischieste delle informazioni da inserire nel vostro post. Seguite le indicazioni e mi raccomando scrivete in inglese. Per utenti che hanno effettuato acquisti su Steam o Epic 1) Verificate che l'account con cui vi loggate sulla EA app sia quello corretto, ossia quello linkato a Steam o Epic. Se il problema persiste potete inviare una segnalazione. Seguite le indicazioni presenti in questa guida e segnatevi da qualche parte il numero di pratica (Report ID) che vi servirà in seguito. Una volta inviata la segnalazione e col numero di pratica a portata di mano, potete scrivere sul forum inglese di AHQ in questo thread (che è diverso da quello sopra). Hello, I’m in desperate need of some help with the Sims 4 on PC. I’ll start with some background: I’ve had the game for years with no issues until last week. In the morning I played the game for a few hours with no issues but in the afternoon the game started lagging and freezing in build and live modes and it hasn’t been the same since. My laptop was not updated between the morning and afternoon; there were no changes to my laptop made that day. I have Windows 11 if that’s also relevant. I can’t go more than 30 minutes (on a very, very good day) without it lagging and freezing but usual it only takes 5 - 10 minutes for the problem to start. It has only crashed twice, otherwise once I notice the lag (and it’s hard to miss) I slowly save and exit before it totally freezes. I went through the forums and did as I was told: I’ve deleted my backups, I’ve deleted the local cash, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the Sims 4 and the EA app, I've tried repairing the Sims in the EA app, I’ve restarted and troubleshooted my PC (and I didn’t receive notice of any issues that needed my attention), and I’ve adjusted my settings in the game (like turning on laptop mode and enabling the V setting in game options - sorry, I can’t remember what it’s called). Nothing has worked. I also have no custom content or mods, only the base game and some add ons. I would greatly appreciate any help with this issue, it’s been a pain to deal with. Hello everyone ! I have a problem with my Sims 4 ! Since two day, I Have these message when I click on play button ! It means "an update is necessary to play the game ! Go to the home page of the game to start the update" ! But when I go to the home page, there is no update button ! I heard that the button appears only when an update is available. So I don't understand ! I tried everything (I think). I used Ea App recovery, Ea Updater, I tried to repair the game, uninstall EA app, update all my mods, disabled all mods, restart my computer... but nothing happened ! The button never appears, I have only the play button ! And sometimes the other sceenshot but nothing happens too.. Is anyone here had these problem and has succeeded to resolve it ? I noticed that whenever I wanted my sim to travel somewhere else, the game would load normally but then after a moment it will crash out of nowhere (the plumbob keep moving during this). The crazy thing, I played earlier today and I didn't had this problem at all. I've tried removing my mods and found some that were conflicting with the game's files. I removed them and load the game again and it seemed to work for a few minutes but crashed again.Game downloads extremely slow to external hard drive
Hii!! So, I've been trying to download my Sims 4 game to an external hard drive forever and it downloads so incredibly slow. I've done everything the EA website advises but nothing works (I.E clearing my cache, restarting, and repairing the app). When I download the game on my main hard drive it usually averages 100 MB/s, downloading it on my external hard drive averages 100-70 KB/s. In the last week of gameplay: -Owned retail, rental and restaurant lots are not showing up in the business panel. Some of my sims own multiple venues and the panel says nothing is owned. -The manage worlds screen seems to correctly identify the lots with the respective owners. -Retail lots are not spawning NPCs still / not showing as owned either...(that part is new) NPCs not showing up is not.. It appears any owned venue / lot is glitched and not reading into the current household properly in game. As an example: The Restaurant I just had built with a household and got functional for rotational gameplay still had the same employees but my owner sim couldn't manage them or direct them as if she wasn't the owner. Additionally, NPC's including the actual employees can't get passed doors assigned for the employees only on the owned lot. I noticed this play testing other situations trying to pinpoint the cause. Another example: My Retail lot (department store) doesn't function if you visit when it is owned by the household, but upon selling it back with no hired employees, the lot functions as normal. Rental Lots have the same issue. Don't show up in the business panel in live mode, but do in manage worlds. one retail lot seems to to give an error code 123 for the owned household if they go visit the lot after switching households and having visited with another household prior. Then it "error codes" out. I believe the issue lies somewhere with the "current active household" parameters and the owned venues. This started after For Rent but has gotten progressively worse and spread into other venues since the most recent updates. This aforementioned lot can't be visited without an error code 123. so inconsistently I can't find a source to it. I don't know if its from the updates or not recognizing the NPC retail glitch problem was larger than that. it's a venue / household logistics thing. it's terrible. All those hours of work and it's useless now. (retails, restaurants, rentals).148Views1like1Comment
