Childhood Crushes and Relationships
I would love to see a future update or pack that introduces innocent childhood crushes in The Sims 4. Children could have a special kind of relationship that is different from teenage and adult romance. They could have a “crush” on another child, talk about their feelings, spend time together, hug, give each other little drawings or gifts, and maybe have a very innocent cheek kiss. I think it would be really cute if children could slowly develop feelings for someone while growing up. For example, two Sims could become best friends as children, develop a childhood crush on each other, and then, when they become teenagers, their relationship could naturally develop into teenage romance. The game could remember that they liked each other as children, so their relationship would actually have a history. Of course, the feelings could also change as they grow up — they could stay friends, fall for someone else, or eventually become a couple. I think this would make generations and family gameplay feel much more natural and meaningful. Children already form strong friendships and innocent crushes in real life, so it would be lovely to see that represented in a safe, age-appropriate way in The Sims 4. 💕16Views2likes1CommentAnother bug/glitch I've been encountering
Along with all my photo, pets, and a few of my sims turning pitch black randomly I’ve also been having an issue when placing builds. Due to me losing a bunch of sims and their family photos I’ve decided to start a new save and switch them over to that save. I’m aware of the photos turning black isn’t a new bug but I’ve never experienced it so I figured it may just be an issue with the save so I planned on moving all my sims and builds to a new save but one of my builds wont appear when placed. I’ve tested it in other saves. I’ve tried placing earlier versions of the build, I’ve even tried getting rid of there photos (the one i re-took) just incase it had something to do with the photos but nothing has worked. I’ve had this happen two other times once in an old save and twice in my most recent one. I was able to work around it the second time by placing an way older version of the build (I was trying to get my sims photos from their old house) but with the one I'm trying to place none of the older versions will place for some reason even though it had let me place an older version of the build after I lost all of there photos. Is there a way to fix this?. It also says in the gallery that I don't own the packs I used when building the house but the newer saved versions of other builds I built it’s showing up properly that I own those packs even though the builds are all from the same save file and I own all the packs I used to build.Secret child idea - royalty and legacy
Sul, sul! I have an idea about new pack - royalty and legacy. About secret child - i think in game is lacking an option to find out about the biological parent in every moment of sim life. For example biological parent can tell the secret child about the true origin.8Views0likes0CommentsSome quick thoughts on the new feature coming soon.
Honestly, the education system needs a serious upgrade. We have way too few high schools to make the experience feel unique, and university content is pretty bare-bones. It really kills the immersion when huge chunks of a Sim's life are just skipped over or unavailable. Also, what about adult education? Once a Sim graduates uni (or skips it), there's literally nothing else to choose from. And don't get me started on the 'High School/Average Grades' tag stuck on old Sims from before you even bought the Uni pack—it's so immersion-breaking for legacy saves. I know rebuilding preschool and elementary from scratch would be a lot, and maybe those should've been part of the High School Years pack. But even so, I'm still hoping we get to play a more complete life cycle someday. I want my Sims to have a real, full journey from childhood all the way to adulthood.🙂30Views1like0CommentsDLC Saying it's owned but not installed - I never bought any of it
I was looking to buy the Cats & Dogs pack in The Sims, however when I went into the marketplace because it showed it was on sale a few days ago, it said it was owned, but not installed. Turns out it says that for all of my packs. I went to the EA app to see if somehow it had been bought, but on both the EA app and Steam, it says I have to buy it still. My little sister was on my computer for a while a couple days ago, so it might've been something she did, but regardless, I'd like to know if this is fixable since they only seem to be on sale in the Sims app, not the EA/Steam app.Sims 4 packs are not showing up as installed after moving the app location
It was originally in this location: And I dragged the folder to this application section because I read someone else do it to make for easier access: I tried the fixes of trying to download the packs through the EA app, but it shows as already installed. I also tried to activate through the marketplace but it shows up as “not installed.” This has been quite frustrating because I use items from each expansion pack and the game isn’t reading anything that I own :( is there any fixes for this issue to get the game to read my packs? Do I move it back to the original location? will such troubleshooting steps affect my batch of mods currently installed? I apologize for the many questions this is the first time this has happened to me and while my game is still running well and smooth, the packs that are not reading which results in a great chunk of missing content. Thank you and looking forward to your help :)New packs not loading
I have recently installed the Royalty and Legacy pack, as well as a few of the new kits. The folder is showing up in the game directory, however, when i go into my game, it doesnt show that i have the packs installed, let alone bought? Does anyone know how to fix this? I would be greatly appreciativeMy Ideas to Make The Sims 4 More Realistic, Detailed and Alive!!
I would love to see much more depth, personality and realism in The Sims 4. I want Sims to feel much more unique and individual instead of mainly being defined by a few traits and their appearance. I think there should be a much more detailed personality system, maybe including zodiac signs or other characteristics that influence how Sims behave, what they like and dislike, how they interact with others and how they develop throughout their lives. I would also love to see a much more advanced genetics system. Sims should have different heights depending on their DNA and their parents, different shoe sizes, more realistic facial features and body proportions, and genetics should be much more noticeable across generations. I also think the life stages could be more detailed. Instead of simply going from child to teenager, there could be something in between so Sims actually look and feel like they are growing up, just like toddlers gradually develop into children. Growing up should feel like a process rather than simply aging up with a birthday. I would also love a huge and detailed sports system. Sims could start training in sports from a very young age and eventually work their way up from local competitions to national championships, world championships and even the Olympics. Gymnastics, swimming, athletics, football and many other sports could be included. A Sim could start gymnastics as a child, train for years, compete in competitions, qualify for bigger events and eventually represent their country at the Olympics. There could be professional athletes, coaches, sports academies, training schedules, injuries, recovery, medals, sponsorships and fan communities. Football could have its own deep system as well, with clubs, leagues, matches, training, transfers, professional careers and national teams. Sims could eventually play in a World Cup, while other Sims could be passionate fans who attend matches, buy jerseys and merchandise, join fan clubs and celebrate or argue over their favorite teams. I would love for sports fandom to actually become part of Sims’ identities and social lives. Music should also be much more detailed. Sims should be able to become professional singers, write their own songs, record them in studios, release albums, build a fanbase and perform at concerts. Even better, Sims should be able to create their own bands, choose the members, rehearse together, record music and eventually perform live. Concerts should range from small local gigs and clubs to festivals, arenas and huge stadium shows. As a Sim becomes more successful, their concerts could become larger and eventually turn into national or even worldwide tours. I would also love a proper hotel system where Sims can buy, build and manage their own hotels. They could design rooms, hire employees, manage guests, set prices, receive reviews and gradually turn a small hotel into a huge luxury resort or even a hotel chain. Hotels could also host weddings, parties, conferences and concerts. Another huge idea I would love to see is cruises. Sims could actually book cruises, choose different cabins, spend several days on a cruise ship, visit different destinations, go on excursions, eat at restaurants, attend shows, swim in pools, shop and meet other Sims. There could even be careers connected to cruise ships. This would make traveling feel much more like an actual experience. I also think the acting and entertainment system from Get Famous could be expanded enormously. Instead of only going to acting gigs, Sims could have much deeper careers in the entertainment industry and become actors, directors, producers, screenwriters, TV hosts or comedians. I would especially love the ability to create television shows and movies. Sims could develop their own ideas, write scripts, cast actors, produce episodes and eventually become famous because of their own productions. There could be premieres, red carpet events, interviews, talk shows, award ceremonies, nominations and many different awards to win. Fame should feel like an entire industry rather than just a celebrity trait. Airports and airlines would also make the world feel much more realistic. Instead of simply clicking on a destination and disappearing, Sims could actually travel to an airport, check in, go through security, wait at the gate and board a plane. There could be careers as pilots, flight attendants, airport employees and even airline executives, and eventually Sims could own or manage their own airline. Cars should also become a much bigger part of everyday life. Sims could drive to school, work, sports practice, restaurants, vacations and other places, and there could even be real car dealerships where Sims can buy and customize different cars. I would also love a huge festival and amusement park system. There could be summer festivals, fairs, Christmas markets, food festivals, concerts, fireworks and seasonal events with lots of stands, games and competitions. I would especially love something similar to a huge German fairground or Dom with roller coasters, Ferris wheels, haunted houses and other attractions. These places should feel busy and alive with lots of Sims interacting with each other. I also think the cities in The Sims 4 could be taken much further with a true Metropolis 2.0. There could be massive modern cities with subway systems, public transportation, skyscrapers, penthouses, shopping malls, real stores, huge companies, corporate offices, restaurants, entertainment districts, airports and stadiums. There could even be major airlines, car dealerships and large companies that actually exist within the world and interact with Sims. The medical system could also be expanded significantly. Hospitals could have emergency rooms, intensive care units, surgeries, emergency operations, ambulances and different departments. Births could be longer and much more detailed, hospital stays could have more depth, and there could be more illnesses, accidents and medical emergencies. Sims could visit specialists such as dentists and ophthalmologists, get braces, glasses, vaccinations and different treatments, and their health could actually have more of an impact on their lives. There could also be research laboratories where scientists develop new treatments and medicines for serious diseases, and perhaps new illnesses could occasionally spread throughout the world and affect Sims of all ages. University and campus life could also be much deeper. I would love more hobbies, student organizations, sports teams, clubs, parties, fraternities and sororities, campus traditions, competitions, dorm life and social experiences. University should feel like a real chapter of a Sim’s life instead of simply being a place where they attend classes and complete assignments. Overall, I think The Sims 4 needs much more depth in its interactions and in the way Sims react to the world around them. Sims should remember important experiences, have deeper friendships and rivalries, develop more complicated relationships, react differently depending on their personalities and have their own ambitions, interests, careers, fandoms and stories. I don’t just want more objects, clothes or worlds. I want The Sims 4 to feel much more like an actual life simulator where Sims can build completely different lives and where every generation can have its own story.76Views3likes6CommentsPlease reconsider The Sims 4 regional pricing in Ukraine — 70% price increase
Please reconsider The Sims 4 regional pricing in Ukraine — 70% price increase I would like to ask EA and Maxis to reconsider the current regional pricing of The Sims 4 DLC in Ukraine. Recently, the prices of The Sims 4 DLC on Steam in Ukraine were significantly increased across the catalogue. For example, The Sims 4 Get to Work increased from 999 UAH to 1699 UAH, which is an increase of approximately 70%. This is a very substantial increase for the Ukrainian market. I understand that EA may need to adjust prices due to currency fluctuations, inflation and changes in regional pricing recommendations. However, I believe the current Ukrainian prices should be reconsidered with the actual economic situation and purchasing power of Ukrainian consumers in mind. Ukraine is still experiencing a full-scale war, which has had a major impact on household incomes and expenses. Average wages and purchasing power remain significantly lower than in the United States and Western European countries, while the cost of essential goods and services continues to put considerable pressure on household budgets. At the same time, The Sims 4 has an unusually large amount of additional paid content. When prices increase across Expansion Packs, Game Packs, Stuff Packs and Kits simultaneously, the total cost of legitimately owning the game's content becomes extremely high relative to local incomes. This is particularly noticeable when comparing regional pricing. A price that may be reasonable for a consumer in a high-income country can represent a much larger financial burden for a Ukrainian player. I also believe that regional pricing should take into account the importance of keeping legitimate purchases accessible. I am not suggesting that piracy is justified — it isn't. However, when official content becomes disproportionately expensive compared with local purchasing power, some players may simply be unable to justify purchasing it legally. Fairer regional pricing could instead encourage more players to remain within the legitimate EA ecosystem and continue supporting the developers. I am therefore asking EA to review the current Ukrainian regional pricing and consider Ukrainian purchasing power, average income, the ongoing economic impact of the war, the difference between Ukrainian and Western markets, the cumulative cost of owning The Sims 4 DLC, and the importance of keeping legitimate purchases accessible. I am not asking for free DLC or special treatment. I am asking for regional pricing that reflects the economic reality of the Ukrainian market. The Sims 4 has a large and passionate community in Ukraine, and I hope EA and Maxis will consider reviewing these prices rather than simply applying the same pricing approach used for substantially wealthier markets. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback.1.8KViews137likes49Comments
